The Janvil Glass Revive system is perfect for use on laminated, curved, tempered, insulated, plate and flat glass.  The Glass Revive system should be used if you are working on Tempered or Low E glass.

Since there are so many types and price ranges of polishing equipment available on the market, we have decided to leave the choice of equipment up to you.   All you need for the Glass Revive system is a polisher motor with a 5/8"–11 male thread spindle connection (industry standard) or a drill with a 3/8" chuck. (Either equipment option must run at a speed range of 2500 to 3500 rpm.)

The system is complete with everything else that you will need to work with the equipment that you choose to use and includes an easy to follow, illustrated instruction manual to get you started fast.

HOW THE GLASS REVIVE SYSTEM WORKS

Glass polishing puts billions of micro fine invisible scratches over the damaged surface area of the glass which changes the surface conditions of the area that cannot be detected with the naked eye.  The trick is to "feather out" the scratch over a wider area without leaving any visual trace or distortion throughout the area. 

JANVIL proprietary compounds consist of a blend of special chemicals, minerals, elements, mild abrasives and lubricating agents. The compounds resurface the glass through both a chemical and mechanical process. The compound first reacts with the glass surface by removing any contamination in the pores on its surface and then "relaxes" the overall surface tension of the outermost section of the glass.

Exposing  the  myths

There is no "magic wand" available when it comes to removing scratches from glass.  

A polishing system can not make the glass flow or lifts the glass to fill the surface of the scratch. 

 Scratches are only removed though a method known as "Feathering".

Once this occurs, the mild abrasives and other components in the compound reshape the glass using the heat and friction created by the spinning of the High Performance Polishing Disk. The combination of these processes is the secret to why our system can obtain distortion-free results.







 

 

  

The Right Tools For The Job: Excessive heat caused by grinding can soften and damage the glass so the polishing tools that are used must minimize the heat buildup. The JANVIL Glass Revive System uses a special polishing disk that is designed to minimize the heat retention and hold the polishing compound in place while you work.
